SCTFANZ is committed to safe and inclusive workplaces, policies and services for people of LGBTQIA+ communities.

These terms & conditions, in addition to our privacy and refund policies, govern the provision of SCTFANZ courses and related materials accessed through our online portal and face-to-face. By registering with SCTFANZ, you accept these terms. These terms override any inconsistent terms in any other communication or agreement from us.

Definitions
In these terms & conditions:
References in these terms to “we”, “us” and “our” are to SCTFANZ and its agents. SCTFANZ is the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation of Australia and New Zealand. References to “you” and “your” are to the person recorded as the customer (student). “Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual, including you;

Registering for a Course
Unless specified in the course description all courses provided are for osteopaths registered in Australia and New Zealand. Your registration will be confirmed either by checking the public register or in writing from you. If you are a student in an osteopathic program, you will be asked to demonstrate your enrolment.

We are not obliged to accept any registration. If we decide not to accept your registration, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and refund any payment in full (see the SCTFANZ refund policy).

Access to a Course
We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure access to the online courses in sufficient time as specified as part of the ordering process. You are expected to maintain the necessary internet connection and hardware to access any online course provided by SCTFANZ. In the case of access issues that relate to the SCTFANZ website, software or login issues, you should contact SCTFANZ ([email protected]).

In the case of face-to-face programs, you are expected to attend as outlined in the provided timetable. All accommodation and travel costs are borne by the applicant. You need to have paid the necessary fees in full, completed any related online content, filled-in the registration forms and complied with the general requirements outlined in the registration letter. In the case of travel cancelations and inability to attend in a timely manner you should contact SCTFANZ ([email protected]). If necessary, refer to the refund policy.

All programs are intended for the registrant only. We reserve the right to take legal action against unauthorised copying, recording or resale of any part of SCTFANZ courses.

Refunds
The SCTFANZ refund policy is available from the website. This policy does not change your rights under Australian consumer protection laws.

Customs / Import Costs
Unless stated otherwise, the price specified for the course registration excludes any import duties and other fees or taxes imposed or collected in any country where the registrant resides. You may need to pay those amounts in order for access to be released to you. SCTFANZ are not responsible for any amounts.

Liability
Under this heading, we set out limitations and exclusions of our liability to you. However, nothing under this heading takes away from your rights under Australian consumer protection laws.

Any SCTFANZ courses are sold to you on the understanding that you have sole responsibility for determining their suitability for the purposes in which you intend to use them. Except as stated otherwise in these terms, we give no warranty in respect of the SCTFANZ courses or products, and we exclude all warranties that would otherwise be implied.

SCTFANZ won’t be liable to you for any loss of profits, opportunity, business or contract, any indirect or consequential loss, or any exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, arising from or in connection with these terms or any SCTFANZ product. Our liability to you for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of us breaching our obligations under these terms, or any other legal duty relating to the courses (including arising by reason of defects in the courses) is limited to repeated access at another time or refund of the relevant course fee.

The limitations and exclusions under this heading apply to all liability (including for negligence), regardless of the legal basis of the claim, but only to extent permitted by law.

Other Matters
To the fullest extent permitted by law, these terms together with your registration (as accepted by SCTFANZ) are the whole agreement between you and us relating to the purchase and supply of any SCTFANZ product, and take the place of all prior discussions and agreements.

If a provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable or in conflict with the law, that part is replaced with a provision which, as far as legally possible, accomplishes the original purpose of that part. The remaining terms will continue to be binding. These terms and conditions in relation to your registration covered by Australian Consumer Law.

General
We won’t waive our rights. If at any time we don’t enforce a provision of these terms, or give you extra time or other leeway to comply, this doesn’t mean that we have waived that provision or given up our rights to enforce that provision, or any other provision.

These terms may change from time to time.

You agree we can make changes to these terms from time to time, and such changes will become effective immediately upon us posting the changed terms on our website.

If a provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable or in conflict with the law, that part is replaced with a provision which, as far as legally possible, accomplishes the original purpose of that part. The remaining terms will continue to be binding.

You can’t assign your rights.

Unless we give written consent, you must not assign your rights or delegate your obligations under these terms. We may assign these terms in their entirety to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of assets.

The SCTFANZ aims to disseminate knowledge and increase the proficiency of practitioners serving their patients through the provision of high quality, best practice post-graduate education and training.

Our mission is to support practising osteopaths and their patients with the teaching and practice of the principles of osteopathy in the cranial field as created by Dr W. G. Sutherland.
